new pictures to come soon - i hope!

i have done some really cute cakes in august, september, and october. hopefully my new laptop will be up and going soon and i will be able to post some new pictures!!!

just wanted to let you know that i am not responsible for the cute header at the top of this page - or the top of my family blog page for that matter! my sweet internet friend - jenny - did these for me. isn't she great!!!

also, i want to apologize for not having new pictures up! i have several cute cakes from august and september, but due to computer issues, i can't put them on here. maybe before too long i will be able to!!

Dancing Frog

this cake was made for my best friend's little girl. her outfit had the same frog smocked on the front of it. and all of the decorations were frogs. it was SUCH a cute party!!!!

Random birthday cake

actually, it isn't random at all......jimmy is a deputy sherriff, so the only thing i could think was the star.....and then the brown icing because the uniforms are khaki/brown.

Wedding Cake

below is a cake i made for a wedding reception. the couple married at the beach and had a reception at their home after getting back. i had not seen her flowers, but her mom said that they were orange and purple. when we got to their house, she ran to get her album and the flowers i put on the cake matched her bouquet perfectly!!!

Ole Miss Groom's Cake

my sweet friend, kerri, got married in april and i gave her a cake for her wedding gift. this is the one that bryan (her husband) wanted. looks good to me! and that is after it traveled from madison to greenville!!!!

Batman Cake

i had to freehand this - and it actually turned out good! i'm not too bad at freehanding actually...

Barn Cake & Dig-in Cake

eli's first birthday was an animal theme. his mom put little animals on the table around his cake (i think - at least that is what she said she was doing!).

Bob the Buider Cakes

the ever popular bob the builder cakes. these do turn out so cute.

Dora Cakes

i have done the dora cakes in 1 layer or 2 layer. the 2 layer picture does not have the figures on it because it would not fit in the box if it did!! it ended up looking just like the 1 layer, though - at least the top part did!

Blue's Clues Cake

well, i have learned from theresa at the cake store, that the blue's clues cake pan is retired. she said that i could probably sell it on ebay, but i think the cake is too cute, so i'm keeping the pan - maybe someone one day will need a blue's clues cake!

Elmo Cake

elmo is always one of my favorites. i have done him "fluffy" (like the picture) and also starred (i'll have to scan a picture - it was before i was digital!).

Lady Bug Cakes & Cupcakes

this is a cute lady bug cake that i made for madilyn's 1st birthday. one of my favorites!!

Santa Cakes

yeah, yeah....i know that it's early. but i wanted to go ahead and put these santa cakes on the blog. they are SO cute and i can't wait to make another one for this year!!!

Initial Cake

this cake was done for a friend's child. she had a fancy-schmancy tea party and wanted something simple and elegant. i think it is precious!

Cowboy Cakes

these are ever popular - everyone is doing western themed parties! i have done them for 1st birthdays on up! there are 2 "dig in" or "smash" cakes that i've done to go with the cowboy cake. ironically, both of the little boys that these were done for were named luke!

Peek - A - Boo Baby Cakes

below are the "peek a boo" cakes. as you can tell, lots of people like/want these. i've also done one with just the baby in the middle (no initials) and all icing yellow and white (they did not find out what they were having!).
